The latest report says 75% of netizens lack sense of security, and 66% think that network security is too complex.

CTOnews.com, February 21 (Xinhua) according to a survey of more than 7000 netizens around the world by market research firm F-Secure, 75% of netizens are worried about their network security, and 69% of respondents said they do not know who they can trust online.

Seventy-four percent of respondents said they used some kind of Internet security measures, but they were still worried about network security. 66% of the respondents believe that it takes a lot of energy to properly protect their personal privacy, and that various measures are too complex. 51% of respondents said they did not know whether the current device was secure.

Timo Laaksonen, CEO of F-Secure, said: "the Internet is full of all kinds of fraud and cyber threats. Cybercrime and data breaches make headlines from time to time. Most netizens do not have sense of security. Sadly, our industry does not have an effective plan to enhance users' sense of security."
