February 21, according to foreign media reports, the US auto giant Ford and South Korean battery maker SK On have a dispute over the suspension of production of FMI150 Lightning all-electric pickup trucks.

It is reported that Ford suspended production and delivery of the Fmuri 150 Lightning after a pre-delivery quality inspection found a battery problem in an electric truck.

On Wednesday, Ford said it would extend the suspension of production of the Fmuri 150 Lightning all-electric pickup truck until at least the end of the week because it was investigating battery problems.

As for the reason for the shutdown of the FMI 150 Lightning, Ford claimed that the faulty battery in the SK On was the cause of the shutdown, but SK On retorted that it was an one-time problem and that there was no quality problem with the battery.

Today, Ford is working to ensure the safety of its customers, taking the necessary steps to investigate and resolve any potential problems found. According to foreign media reports, the company has sent its own battery researchers to South Korea this month to investigate the problem.

Last week, the company said it believed the root cause had been identified and expected to complete the investigation by the end of the week, followed by adjustments to the truck's battery production process. Next month, the company will send more personnel to South Korea to inspect the equipment and machines used at the BlueOval SK plant.
