CTOnews.com February 22, Microsoft announced the introduction of Image Function functionality for Excel, a table processing tool, on all supported platforms. Testing of the feature began in August last year, and then was launched on the web side, Windows and macOS platforms in December last year.

Microsoft's official description of Image Function is as follows: "the picture inserted in the cell no longer floats on the surface, but becomes part of the worksheet. You can move and resize the cell, sort and filter, and process the picture in the Excel table."

After Excel inserts a picture into a cell, it just hovers on the spreadsheet. If there are multiple pictures in the spreadsheet, it becomes difficult to manage.
