The world's first, China Telecom Tianyi things released 5G RedCap low-power positioning module
CTOnews.com February 22 news, China Telecom Tianyi things today, together with core model manufacturers Zhi Lian an, Lilda, jointly released the world's first 5G RedCap low-power positioning module, jointly creating 5G RedCap positioning chip, module, terminal industry chain.
According to reports, the first 5G RedCap low-power positioning module released this time, based on the 3GPP R17 positioning specification, supports four major operators in frequency bands and working voltage 3.3V-4.2V, with high-precision, low-power positioning capability, positioning accuracy up to the submeter level; at the same time, it can meet the low power consumption and positioning needs of battery terminals, has good mobile performance, can meet mobile positioning scenes, and achieve real-time management functions.
3GPP R17 standard co-definition RedCap (CTOnews.com Note: its full name is "Reduced Capability") is a key technology for medium-and high-speed IoT scenarios. It mainly extends 5G IoT applications for three medium-and high-speed application scenarios, such as wearable devices, industrial wireless sensors and video surveillance, and can achieve an effective balance in cost, bandwidth, power consumption and so on.
