According to officials, team chat is a new chat channel that allows you to chat with pre-matched teammates.

The chat channel will indicate who can see your message. The chat console will now display the chat channel that receives your message on the left side of the chat bar. To quickly access the team chat, you can enter the / party, / pt, or / p commands. Received team chat messages will be displayed before the message [team]. Team chat will be the default chat setting for new players.

Officials say the new / muteself and / deafen instructions will take effect in the game. The "League of Legends" team saw players using automatic chat abuse detection and muting to mute themselves, which is an abuse of the system. If players really want to use this feature, the "League of Legends" team will provide players with a way to mute themselves without using inappropriate language.

● / muteself will prevent you from using text chat and notify other players that you have muted yourself. You can undo it by typing / muteself again.
