CTOnews.com, February 23 (Xinhua) physicists have used quantum mechanics to extract energy from thin air. This feat seems to violate the laws of physics and common sense.

William William Unruh, a theoretical physicist at the University of British Columbia, once said: "there is almost nothing to provide in a vacuum and you cannot extract energy from it."

Masahiro Hotta, a theoretical physicist at Tohoku University in Japan, proposed the quantum energy teleportation protocol (quantum energy teleportation protocol) in 2008, which can also be induced to extract energy in vacuum.

Several researchers have demonstrated Hotta's theory by transmitting energy across microscopic distances in two separate quantum devices over the past year or so. This study makes little doubt that the teleportation of energy is a real quantum phenomenon.
