PowerToys will introduce the PastePlain module to implement the paste feature in plain text format on Win10 / Win11 systems.
CTOnews.com February 24 message, most web browsers have dedicated shortcuts that allow users to clear styles and paste in plain text format (Ctrl + Shift + V). On Win10 and Win11 systems, users can implement the above features through the PastePlain module that will be introduced into PowerToys.
According to the Pull Request request on the GitHub page, the PastePlain feature is brought to PowerToys based on the recently released Text Extractor module.
CTOnews.com translates as follows according to the request of PR:
This feature is largely based on the Text Extractor module, removes unwanted formatting content, implements and uses the same KeyboardMonitor.
This module mainly optimizes the logic in KeyboardMonitor and modifies the Ctrl+V input sequence.
PastePlain uses Ctrl + Win + V key sequences by default to paste unformatted text, and like most PowerToys utilities, it allows you to create custom shortcuts.
