XProtect, Apple's built-in antivirus tool for macOS, released a 2166 update to fix two vulnerabilities

CTOnews.com February 25, Apple quietly released an update to the XProtect 2166 version on February 22, but Apple did not release a security note for this update.

Howard Oakley said in his latest blog post that this XProtect update fixes two vulnerabilities of MACOS.KEYSTEAL.An and HONKBOX_A / B / C and adds them to the Yara tool.

Users can see if they have updated to the new version through the system Information application in applications > Utilities. This updated version is 2166 and is applicable to macOS versions after El Capitan.
