Samsung and AMD teamed up to integrate RDNA2 GPU on the Exynos 2200 SoC, but the final performance was not particularly ideal. CTOnews.com learned from the report that the media sees the partnership between Nvidia and MediaTek as an opportunity to prove once again that the desktop GPU architecture can also be applied to smartphone SoC.

The report said that in addition to the cooperation on GPU, the two sides will further explore and improve the performance of AI. MediaTek's AI performance in its flagship Tianji 9200 currently lags behind Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Through cooperation with Nvidia, MediaTek is expected to catch up with or even surpass Qualcomm in this respect, helping MediaTek further conquer the high-end market.
