CTOnews.com, February 27, Canalys released a report today that global shipments of smart wearable wristbands reached 50 million units in the fourth quarter of 2022, down 18.6 percent from the same period last year.

The report points out that the top five manufacturers have declined to varying degrees.

Despite a 17 per cent decline, Apple still tops the list with a 28 per cent market share.

Google rose to second place with an 8 per cent market share with the launch of Pixel smartwatches and a multi-category combination of fitbit.

Xiaomi, due to the rhythm of new product shipments, did not make an all-out effort in this quarter, ranking third with a market share of 7%.

Huawei continues to decline due to the impact of its mobile phone business, while Samsung, due to the lack of iterative advantage of its watch5, still relies on fourth-generation holiday low-price shipments, ranking fourth and fifth respectively, with a market share of 6 per cent.

In the Chinese mainland market, CTOnews.com learned from the Canalys report that the top five market shares of smart wearable wristbands in the fourth quarter of 2022 were Huawei (26%), Xiaomi (17%), Apple (10%), Little Genius (9%) and Glory (4%).
