CTOnews.com, February 27, International data Corporation (IDC) released a report today that technology spending by global digital native companies is expected to grow at a strong compound growth rate of 20.9 percent over the next five years and exceed $500 billion in 2026. The report points out that the original digital enterprise is characterized by a digital priority approach and technology-driven operation model, rather than using digital technology as a business support or auxiliary function as traditional companies do. Digital native enterprises play a direct role in subverting or revitalizing industry development, promoting new jobs and accelerating innovation, and are essential to promoting social change, accelerating economic recovery and sustainable growth.

The study also found that technology-driven digital native enterprises based on cloud infrastructure will spend twice as much on software and hardware as digital native enterprises with non-cloud infrastructure.
