Samsung partnered with Siemens to launch a sustainable smart city project to connect 12000 houses to SmartThings

CTOnews.com, February 27 (Xinhua) Samsung's SmartThings Energy service aims to create a sustainable world by reducing energy consumption. Today, Samsung launched a sustainable smart city project in Stirling Ranch, Colorado, in partnership with Siemens.

Through this project, Samsung aims to make SmartThings Energy the core of sustainable housing, and the energy needs of households will be generated internally. Samsung Smart City Sustainable Housing Project will be supported by SmartThings connection.

According to reports, the Stirling Ranch sustainable housing community will use solar energy to produce and store energy at home. In addition, all houses will use the AI energy mode of Samsung Appliances to save energy, and can use SmartThings applications to monitor energy.

About 12000 houses in the neighborhood will be connected to Samsung SmartThings, and residents will be able to see how much electricity their homes use in real time. In addition, residents will be able to compare electricity consumption with consumption targets and adjust energy use accordingly to save electricity bills.
