Spotify Music announces the removal of the "heart" marker icon and the replacement of "+"
CTOnews.com, February 28, Spotify Music announced that it will cancel the heart-shaped icon in order to operate more efficiently.
In the past, Spotify said in a blog post, users used heart-shaped icons to "mark songs they want to save" and "add to playlist" icons to add tracks or episodes to their favorite playlists.
From now on, users will have a plus "+" icon. When you click the plus sign, you can save and select the destination of any song, playlist or podcast with a single click.
To save a song or podcast, click the + button. After successfully adding to "favorite songs" or "episodes", the plus sign will change to a green check mark. CTOnews.com notes that clicking the green check mark changes the destination of the saved content. Click the plus sign to also add an entire album, playlist, or audiobook to the library.
Spotify says this is the latest move to continue to create a more intuitive experience, all of which will make it easier for users to manipulate their favorite music and podcasts.
Spotify's new plus sign "+" icon / button is available to all iOS and Android users today and will be available on other platforms "in the coming weeks".
