CTOnews.com February 28, DSCC released a report today that revenue from OLED panels fell 1% year-on-year to $41.7 billion in 2022. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 289.815 billion yuan).

Among them, OLED smartphone applications are down 1% from the same period last year. In addition, a number of emerging OLED applications will grow in 2022, including AR / VR, cars, monitors, tablets and gaming platforms.

In the first quarter of 2023, DSCC expects panel revenue to fall 24% year-on-year to $7.5 billion (currently about 52.125 billion yuan). Of this total, panel revenue from OLED smartphones will fall 40% month-on-month, 21% year-on-year, 56% month-on-month and 39% year on year.

According to the report, SDC (Samsung) continues to take the lead in OLED panel revenue, but its revenue share has declined again and again, from 64% in the third quarter of 2022 to 58% in the fourth quarter of 2022, while both LGD and BOE have seen relative growth. In the first quarter of 2023, DSCC expects SDC to continue to lead, with the help of continued growth in other applications, but its revenue share is expected to fall to 54 per cent.

In addition, DSCC said that after the Chinese Lunar New year in 2023, compared with the cold market in January, the terminal market began to rebound, brands began to wait and see and there were signs of active stock, and shipments of OLED panels were expected to increase in the second quarter compared with the first quarter.
