China Unicom independent terminal 5G CPE VN009 release: 95% localization of 5G RF core components

CTOnews.com February 28, China Unicom released a new generation of 5G CPE VN009 at the World Mobile Communications Congress (MWC 2023), which supports 900MHz band, multi-user access and NFC.

China Unicom VN009 supports 5G SA&NSA, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, MESH and eSIM, and claims to be "wider network coverage, stronger penetration, compact and easy to carry". Its overall size is similar to that of TV set-top box, equipped with Ziguang Spreadron V5105G chip, and the localization rate of 5G RF core components is as high as 95%.

In addition, China Unicom 5G CPE VN009 can connect with Unicom Smart App to achieve terminal management, business management and other functions. It also supports NFC to connect to Wi-Fi at one touch, without the need to manually enter the password, and the mobile phone can connect quickly at the slightest touch.

At the same time, VN009 has a wider Wi-Fi coverage area than VN007, supporting up to 32 users to connect to CPE at the same time.
