China Unicom: it will expand its research on eSIM PC, PAD and other new products in the future.

Thales has extensive product experience in the global digital security field and smart IC cards. The two sides have maintained a good cooperative relationship in SIM card security and card supply.

In recent years, with the development of Mobile device towards integration and diversification, SIM card has further evolved. In terms of appearance size, the size of SIM card is gradually miniaturized. In terms of technical functions, SIM cards are evolving towards electronic and multifunctional directions, with the emergence of remotely configurable eSIM (embedded SIM) technology, as well as brand-new cards that combine bus cards, digital wallets and other applications with SIM cards.

In terms of product form, China Unicom has continuously released or jointly released eSIM module, eSIM watch, eSIM locator, eSIM CPE and other products. In the future, China Unicom will expand its research on eSIM PC, PAD and other new products to enrich eSIM categories.

The two sides will further deepen cooperation, innovate R & D in mobile communication, mobile financial services, public services, network security and other fields, jointly launch security chip products and terminal solutions, assist the development of consumer-grade eSIM industry, and accelerate the implementation of 5G and eSIM cards in innovation fields.
