CTOnews.com March 3 news, Sensor Tower released a report today that the global mobile e-commerce application downloads reached 59 billion in 2022, an increase of 7.1% compared to 2021.

CTOnews.com learned from the Sensor Tower report that the number of downloads of mobile e-commerce applications in the European market continued to rise from 2018 to 2022, with a month-on-month increase of 27% to 1.3 billion in 2020 and more than 1.4 billion in 2022. Mobile e-commerce applications in the Indian market exploded by 38% to 1 billion in 2021, and downloads of e-commerce applications in India increased by 35% to 1.34 billion in 2022.

Specifically, in 2022, Southeast Asia's e-commerce application Shopee once again overtook Amazon to become the global champion of e-commerce app downloads with nearly 250 million downloads, with Indonesia, India and Brazil being the largest downloads.
