CTOnews.com March 6, according to Red Flag official announcement, China FAW independently developed Red Flag second-generation L4 Robotaxi (CTOnews.com note: self-driving vehicle) successfully passed the review of the Beijing Joint working Group on self-driving Management, obtained the first batch of self-driving licenses based on mass production sensors, and launched Beijing's global self-driving road test.

Beijing has previously issued the self-driving vehicle road test technical capability evaluation standard "self-driving vehicle road test ability evaluation content and method". This set of standards puts forward the idea of dividing SAE's L3 and above autopilot ability levels according to traffic scene complexity for the first time in the world, and is selected into 100 group standard application demonstration projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which is popularized and applied throughout the country. As the first OME (mainframe factory), Red Flag is the first to start self-driving road testing.

The second generation L4 Robotaxi of Hongqi R & D is a new generation of self-driving vehicle based on mass production sensors, which is independently developed by FAW (Nanjing) Technology Development Co., Ltd. Up to now, Red Flag has launched self-driving road tests in Beijing, Nanjing and Changchun, including typical urban roads such as viaducts, commercial districts, residential areas and construction sections. The test road conditions are complex and the scene is rich. The total mileage of the test is more than 150000 kilometers, and more than 200 intelligent driving patents have been obtained.
