CTOnews.com, March 7 (Xinhua)-- seven brands, including Samsung, launched a total of 19 foldable phones in 2022, while the number of brands reached 10 in 2023, and 37 foldable phones are expected to be launched, according to DSCC, a screen supply chain consultancy.

The report points out that at least 16 of them are expected to use flip designs (similar to Galaxy Z Flip), while about 20 will use book designs (similar to Galaxy Z Fold).

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that DSCC estimates that global shipments of foldable smartphones will reach 19 million in 2023, folding panels will ship more than 2200 million units, and production will exceed 20 million units.
