Some gamers on Reddit have noticed that CPU usage suddenly soars to more than 10%, or even more than 15%, at the end of the game. This problem can cause players' laptops to heat up, slow performance and speed up power consumption.

Nvidia later confirmed the problem of excessive CPU usage and said it would launch an emergency patch for the 531.18 driver in the next few hours to fix the problem. These problems are said to be caused by Nvidia Display Container Service.

So what exactly did Display Container Service do, and why did it take up your CPU? A senior Nvidia executive explained that the service handles display tasks, including GeForce Experience functions and displaying icons in your notification area.

However, Display Container Service is not an indispensable and important feature, so you can end the service with the task manager now. It is worth noting that not all users will encounter these performance problems, but you'd better update the driver with fixes later.

Now, Nvidia has urgently launched a hotfix for users (version 531.26, which will trigger the download directly by clicking the link), but the version is still in the "testing" stage and Nvidia does not regard it as the final fix. According to reports, through this new patch, the following problems have been solved:
