Bypassing publishers, Apple injected money into Gamma to create a complete set of music production solutions
CTOnews.com, March 9 (Xinhua)-- Apple recently injected money into Gamma startups, hoping to bypass the intermediate link of publishers and form a complete music production solution, Reuters reported.
Apple did not disclose the exact amount of the capital injection, nor did it disclose the terms of the deal. CTOnews.com learned from the report that the Gamma startup was founded by Larry Jackson, the former global creative director of Apple Music.
After leaving Apple, Larry Jackson founded Gamma, which supports various forms of content creation, such as music, video and podcasts. The company also acquired Vydia last December to better distribute audio and video.
"Contemporary cultural workers need to create rich media forms such as videos, movies, podcasts and fashion, but rich channels should not be an obstacle for them to express their views," Jackson said in a statement.
