According to KuaiBao, retail sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market were 1.389 million, up 10.3% from the same period last year, and 7.4% month-on-month, down 19.8% from January to February.
In the passenger car market in February, retail sales of fuel vehicles fell 3.7% year-on-year, while new energy retail increased by 60.9% year-on-year. In terms of model sales in February, car sales were the highest, reaching 656000, an increase of 9.0% over the same period last year, and 7.7% month-on-month growth of 7.7%. MPV sales were the lowest, only 82000 vehicles, up 24.1% from a year earlier and 36.2% from a month earlier. In terms of cumulative sales from January to February, SUV sales were the highest, reaching 1.272 million vehicles, down 18.9% from the same period last year, the lowest, only 143000 vehicles, down 14.8% from the same period last year.
At the same time, the Carriage Association also released a list of manufacturers' wholesale sales in February. Among them, BYD topped the list, selling 191664 vehicles (CTOnews.com: 90268 in the same period last year), up 112.3% from a year earlier and occupying 11.9% market share.
