CTOnews.com, March 9 (Xinhua)-- Tesla is stepping up recruitment of employees at the Texas superfactory to start producing the much-anticipated Cybertruck electric pickup truck this summer, as CEO Elon Musk revealed during the fourth-quarter earnings call.

Tesla has updated the recruitment page on his official website to include 26 Cybertruck-related vacancies, 23 of which are in the manufacturing department.

Tesla began recruiting staff specifically for Cybertruck in early November 2022 and added more positions later that month. Now, the electric car brand has significantly increased the recruitment of jobs related to Cybertruck production.

As of March 9, 2023, the Cybertruck-related manufacturing job openings listed on the Tesla recruitment page are as follows:

Maintenance Manager-stamping

Equipment technician-body workshop

Dimension engineer-body-in-white

Robot engineer-stamping

Some of these positions, such as dimension engineers and senior equipment engineers, have been recruited since the end of last year, but it is not clear whether Tesla will hire more people to do these jobs, or whether he has not found the right person yet.

CTOnews.com notes that this is only a small part of Tesla's recent massive recruitment campaign. In the past few months, Tesla has posted a large number of new job openings, including the service department, and last year increased his total number of employees by 22%, adding nearly 29000 new employees.

As for the Cybertruck electric pickup, Musk confirmed that limited production will begin this summer and large-scale production is expected in the first quarter of 2024.
