Now, when asked by netizens, Tesla CEO Musk said that the news was not true and that the relationship between Tesla and BYD was positive.

Earlier, it was reported that BYD began supplying 10GWh batteries to Tesla's European models last year, and even the Tesla model with blade batteries has entered the C-sample testing stage.

The Korea Economic Daily said Tesla did not ask for further supply after the battery supply contract with BYD for low-cost models such as Model 3 standard edition expired at the beginning of this year. There are three possible reasons for the cessation of cooperation:

1. The problem of continuous BYD blade battery.

2. Considering the subsidy policy related to electric vehicles in the United States.

3. BYD directly competes with Tesla in manufacturing and exporting electric cars in Europe, India, Southeast Asia and other places, which is also the reason for the termination of the contract.
