Matter is an open source standard that connects different home eco-products together and can be used by any smart device to create a more seamless intelligent experience. Any smart home device compatible with Matter protocol can be set up and used on a platform that supports Matter. Matter is guided by the CSA Global Alliance, whose members come from a variety of industries and work together to change the future of the Internet of things.

Midea said that after it was announced at the global Matter conference in November 2022 that Midea's U-window air conditioners had become one of the first Matter certified air conditioners, Midea once again demonstrated the two-in-one purification fan that can be connected to Matter at the meeting of members of the Global CSA Alliance held in Seoul from March 20 to 23.

The upgraded Matter's new version of Midea's two-in-one purification fan is expected to be officially launched by the end of 2023. CTOnews.com inquiry found that the fan is currently priced at 999 yuan in China, it is not clear whether it will upgrade to the Matter version.
