CTOnews.com March 21, the UBports Foundation announced that it will launch Ubuntu Touch OTA-25 on March 24, the last version based on Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus).
The UBports Foundation says it is working to rebuild Ubuntu Touch on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) over the past year, and the upcoming Ubuntu Touch OTA-26 will be based on a new Ubuntu version.
CTOnews.com learned from the report that Ubuntu Touch OTA-25 mainly brings counter features to a number of applications such as dialer (Dialer) and messaging application (Messaging) on the system side to optimize the virtual keyboard vibration feedback experience on Volla Phone.
Ubuntu Touch OTA-25 fixes various problems in previous versions, including race conditions (Race condition) for XdgWatcher, bluebinder problems that can be found indefinitely, favorites errors in dialer applications, and so on.
