CTOnews.com, March 21 (Xinhua)-- Adobe today launched a series of new artificial intelligence tools called Firefly, a new series of creative generative AI models that first focus on image generation and text effects, designed to help creative professionals and artists generate images and artistic text.

Today Adobe released the first two products of the family of Firefly generative AI tools for testing. The first tool creates images based on text prompts such as "ferocious crocodiles leaping out of the water in a thunderstorm" and provides hundreds of styles to adjust the results. Another tool applies styles to text based on prompts, allowing people to create letters that look furry, scaly, or any other desired effect.

According to CTOnews.com, Firefly is currently only available on Adobe's website, but the company plans to integrate it into its software, starting with its Photoshop image editing software, Illustrator design software and Adobe Express fast video production software. The company has not disclosed the pricing of the new tool.

Adobe believes that artificial intelligence will not replace creative talents, but will enhance their competitiveness and creativity. The company is also aware of the legal and social problems that artificial intelligence may bring, such as copyright infringement, prejudice and stereotypes. As a result, Adobe uses its own gallery, public domain, and licensed works to train Firefly, and avoids the use of copyrighted, trademark, or sensitive images.

Analysts believe that Adobe's launch of Firefly is a wise strategic move, because generative artificial intelligence is a transformative technology, and if Adobe does not provide such a feature, creative professionals and artists will look elsewhere.
