CTOnews.com March 25, Microsoft recently released a preview update of Win11 Build 25324 for Canary Channel's Windows Insider project members. In addition to adding support for SHA-3, Microsoft quietly upgraded the ReFS file system version from 3.9 to 3.10.

Compared to NTFS (New Technology File System, the new technology file system, debuted with the NT system in 1993), ReFS claims to bring more resilience, higher performance, and higher data size support on the virtual machine (vm) (35PB NT is NTFS), among other advantages.
