One year after delivering its first car to customers, Tesla's Berlin Superplant is now announcing that it has reached its historic goal of producing 5000 cars per week, successfully surpassing the Texas Superplant. If this rate of production can be maintained, the Berlin Superplant will be able to produce more than 250,000 cars a year.

Although it has been a year since the Berlin Superplant began delivery, it is still only the beginning for the automobile factory and will continue to operate for a long time.

Since the start of delivery, the production capacity of the Berlin superplant Model Y has steadily increased, reaching 4000 units per week at the end of last month and now exceeding 5000 units. As production increases, it is believed that its new vehicle delivery volume will also increase steadily.

As Tesla's new vehicle factories, the increase in Model Y production at the Berlin Superplant and Texas Superplant will also enhance their ability to meet consumer demand in Europe and North America, increasing overall production.

Tesla currently has four passenger car plants, capacity at its Fremont, California, and Shanghai superplants is still increasing, and production and deliveries will continue to increase this year as production continues to rise at its Berlin and Texas superplants.

Tesla data show that in the fourth quarter of 2022, Tesla produced more than 439,000 vehicles worldwide and delivered more than 405,000 vehicles. For all of 2022, Tesla delivered 1.31 million vehicles worldwide, up 40% year-on-year; 1.37 million vehicles were produced, up 47% year-on-year.

Specifically, Tesla delivered 388131 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2022, and 17147 Model S and Model X vehicles.

Tesla said it continued its transition to "more balanced mass production for different regional markets," which led to a further increase in vehicles in transit at the end of the quarter.
