Up to now, the company has completed Series B financing with a total financing amount of more than RMB 5 billion yuan. Founder Zhang Wen is a doctor of law from Harvard University. He has worked in the United Nations and Wall Street for many years and has successively become a senior lawyer and general manager of private equity funds. From 2018 to 2019, Zhang Wen worked for Shangtang Technology and served as president.

Different from Zhang Wen, CEO of Biren Technology, Jiao Guofang has rich background in GPU technology research and development. In September 2021, when Biren Technology started graphics GPU research and development, Jiao Guofang was introduced as follows: With more than 25 years of profound GPU product architecture and R & D experience, he has experienced the rapid development of graphics processor industry in the past 20 years; He worked for Qualcomm for 11 years. As the head of GPU team, he developed 5 generations of classic Qualcomm Adreno mobile GPU architecture. It is worth mentioning that Jiao Guofang also served as the chief scientist of GPU technology in Huawei Futurewei Department, responsible for Huawei Hongmeng OS graphics image processing and UI system framework.

In addition to GPGPU, Biren is also trying to enter the graphics GPU space, which is a market dominated by NVIDIA, but there are also more consumer needs and application scenarios. Jiao Guofang once said that Biren Technology will make use of its own technical strength and understanding of the Chinese market to carry out in-depth optimization for local and emerging application scenarios and give full play to the "latecomer advantage."

However, shortly after Wall Technology announced the launch of a new graphics GPU product line, Jiao Guofang chose to leave. It is not clear why or why he left. The GPGPU and graphics GPU products of Biren Technology have not yet been officially launched and mass produced. A query of the company's website revealed that the press release announcing the launch of the new graphics GPU product line had been deleted.

According to the company, the peak computing power of a single chip of this 7nm product can reach teraflops per second, which is the PFLOPS level.
