The first film launched in October 2014 and earned $14.4 million in North America; the second launched in February 2017 with $30.4 million; and the third launched in May 2019 with $56.8 million.
This is the sixth best film in Lion Gate's history, second only to Hunger Games and Twilight. The film is 95% fresh on rotten tomatoes, with a rating of 95% for professional film critics and more than 95% for more than 2500 certified users.
