Apple Apple Watch watch new patent: introduction of radar system to monitor biometric features such as breathing, coughing and sneezing
CTOnews.com, March 28, according to a list published by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple today obtained a technology right related to Apple Watch. Apple hopes to introduce radar sensors into the Apple Watch to monitor respiratory and cardiovascular biometrics.
The radar system outlined by Apple in the patent has two components, a transmitter and a receiver, which can transmit signals to the target object, while the receiver can receive reflected signals from the target object. The radar system can detect the movement or vibration of the target object based on the reflected signal.
CTOnews.com learned from the patent that the radar system can be "refined" for displacement motion or vibration and is divided into:
0.5 mm and below
1 mm and below
2 mm and below
5 mm and below
1 cm and below
2 cm and below
5 cm and below
Different "refinement" levels can be used to detect the wearer's respiratory rate, heart rate, cough, sneezing, trembling, epilepsy and / or other movements or vibrations of the body.
