CTOnews.com, March 30 (Xinhua)-- Reuters reported in January that display screen maker BOE Technology Group plans to invest $400 million to build two factories in Vietnam. According to South Korean media The Elec and several local media reports in Vietnam, BOE's first factory in Vietnam has been located in the city of Baining Ninh.

Beining City is located in northern Vietnam. BOE plans to produce a variety of small and medium-sized display panels, such as organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and liquid crystal displays (LCD), at its plant in Beining, which is supplied to Apple, mainly for iPhone SE (fourth generation). The BOE Beining plant is scheduled to be completed and put into production in 2025.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that an important reason for BOE's decision to build a display panel factory in Beining is to meet Apple's requirements and make use of the city's preferential policies to speed up the landing of the factory.
