ZTE Corporation has released a new generation of ultra-large bandwidth millimeter wave AAU: maximum bandwidth up to 1.6GHz
CTOnews.com March 30 news, ZTE Corporation and Thailand AIS recently released a new generation of ultra-large bandwidth millimeter wave AAU, which is the first millimeter wave AAU in the world to support more than 1.2GHz bandwidth, with a maximum bandwidth of 1.6GHz.
Millimeter wave is rich in spectrum resources, and many operators have more millimeter wave spectrum than 1GHz, and the characteristics of super bandwidth and high capacity of this single AAU burst will greatly help operators to give full play to their millimeter wave spectrum potential.
In NR-DC mode, using the millimeter wave spectrum of 1.2GHz bandwidth owned by AIS, the measured peak rate of MU in a single sector reaches downlink 22.01Gbps and uplink 4.32Gbps, which is far higher than the current industry average.
CTOnews.com Note: AAU (Active Antenna Unit, active Antenna Unit) is a device that combines the RRU remote radio frequency unit with the antenna. This kind of equipment with antenna needs power supply to send the signal. Upgrade to Massive MIMO (large scale Antenna Array) AAU in 5G era.
