CTOnews.com March 31, Canonical today released Ubuntu 23.04 Beta release, and a stable version is expected to be released on April 20.

The Ubuntu 23.04 Beta desktop environment has been upgraded to the recently released GNOME 44 with optimized Ubuntu Font, and the kernel has been upgraded to the Linux 6.2 branch to support most of the mainstream hardware.

Ubuntu Desktop also introduces a new installer written in Google Flutter UI SDK, which implements most of the features of the previous Ubuntu installer, except that it does not support ZFS installation.

If users want to install Ubuntu 23.04 with ZFS, the official canonical also provides an ISO image with an old installer. CTOnews.com learned from the report that Ubuntu 23.4 also released two additional ISO images, Ubuntu Unity and Ubuntu Cinnamon.
