CTOnews.com, April 2-in the latest issue of Power On Newsletter, Bloomberg Mark Gurman reports that the next major version of watchOS (temporarily known as watchOS 10) will undergo a major upgrade, especially an update to the user interface.

Since the design of watchOS has not changed much in recent years, the new versions of the past few years seem to only iterate over the tracking function and the dial. Gurman believes this year will be different, which is undoubtedly exciting news for Apple Watch users.

I believe the new watchOS will be a considerable upgrade, and the user interface will change significantly, unlike iOS 17. Considering that the Apple Watch hardware update is small, I believe that watchOS will be a very important annual update.

Gurman has previously said that iOS 17 will have some good features. Major updates to Apple Watch hardware are expected next year, such as the first Apple Watch with a micro-LED display.
