CTOnews.com, April 4 (Xinhua)-- Renewable energy accounts for more than 20% of Japan's electricity generation in 2021. The Japanese government proposes to increase the proportion of renewable energy generation to 36% 38% by 2030 and reduce net greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050.

Japan aims to popularize flexible solar cells by 2030, with the government planning to support large-scale production by Japanese companies and apply them to public buildings, railway stations, schools and other places, according to the Nikkei News. The plan sets out the government's policy of working with companies and other agencies to establish supply networks and encourage the widespread use of photovoltaic panels.

One of the plans is to commercialize so-called perovskite batteries by 2030. As there are fewer and fewer places to install photovoltaic panels in Japan, the voice of "perovskite solar cells" that can be affixed to car roofs or building walls is getting louder and louder. According to reports, this kind of battery is lighter and more flexible than traditional products.

Touyuan Pexels reference CTOnews.com previously reported that large Japanese electronic parts companies are currently actively investing in renewable energy. For example, Murata Studio installed photovoltaic panels and batteries in four factories in Japan, such as Sendai Murata production Institute. Kyocera plans to provide 7% / 8% of its electricity consumption by 2030 by its own photovoltaic equipment. TDK built its own photovoltaic power station in India in 2021 and will strengthen the development of renewable energy in Japan.
