CTOnews.com, April 5 (Xinhua)-- Volkswagen Group will recall 32100 vehicles due to three problems, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Of these, 16207 2023 ID.4 doors may accidentally open, increasing the risk of injury; 15874 2022 TAOS fuel transfer pumps may burst, causing the engine to stall suddenly, increasing the risk of collision; and 19 2020 Audi Q7 front cameras may overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "Volkswagen is recalling some 2023 ID.4 vehicles. The door knob of the affected vehicle may enter the circuit board assembly, which may cause the door to open accidentally when the vehicle is subjected to a high lateral force at a speed of less than 15 km / h."

NHTSA noted that the problem could affect as many as 16207 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 models. At present, Volkswagen has not specified the repair method needed to solve the door problem, but will remind the car owner after determining the repair method and drawing up the maintenance plan.

"remedial measures are currently under development," the NHTSA recall website said. "A message informing users of the security risks is expected to be sent on May 26, 2023. Once remedial measures are available, users will receive a second notification. Car owners can call Volkswagen's customer service."

CTOnews.com also noted that Volkswagen is recalling 143000 Atlas SUV vehicles in the United States because a sensor failure on the front passenger side may cause the car to shut down the airbag system in some cases. Until the problem is solved, Volkswagen advises car owners to avoid letting people sit in that seat, especially children.

The recalled vehicles are the 2018-2021 Atlas and the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport SUV. According to documents submitted by Volkswagen to NHTSA, Volkswagen has not yet decided how to solve the problem, but once it is determined that repairs will be carried out free of charge, owners of cars that need to be recalled will be notified by email.
