BYD Pure Electric 1t truck T4K is listed in South Korea: equipped with 82kWh blade battery, with a range of 246km

CTOnews.com April 7 news, BYD and local partner GS recently held T4K launch conference, this is a pure electric 1t light truck model.

1t truck is called "small business owner car" in Korea, with about 2.3 million vehicles nationwide and about 200,000 new vehicles replaced every year. The Korean government has introduced many policies supporting the development of environmentally friendly vehicles, including electric trucks. For buyers, Korean national and local governments will subsidize them. And South Korea announced that from 2023, it will completely ban the use of diesel vehicles in 1t-class express vehicles.

The South Korean T4K truck will be equipped with an 82kWh blade battery and can travel 246 kilometers on a single charge. GS and BYD will partner with Kakao Mobility to sell T4K trucks through the KakaoT app, which supports navigation using T Map. The price without subsidies is 46.69 million won (CTOnews.com note: currently about 244,000 yuan). If South Korean and local government subsidies are applicable, some local government procurement prices are as low as 19 million won (currently about 99180 yuan).

BYD said it had launched 301 electric buses into the South Korean market as of March this year, with a cumulative mileage of more than 25 million kilometers.
