CTOnews.com, April 8 (Xinhua)-- according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a technology patent called "testing Virtual listening Environment," numbered US 20230104111 A1.

CTOnews.com learned from the patent description that users may listen to audio or video content in different scenarios such as a car, a lawn, a classroom, a train or a living room, while Apple wants headphones to dynamically adjust its acoustic output to different environments.

Apple hopes that AirPods devices can provide better binaural audio processing, based on human auditory perception, using technologies such as computer and digital signal processing, and microphone and spatial audio functions to simulate the same sound pressure at the eardrum of the listener as in the real scene, in order to give people an "immersive" experience.
