CTOnews.com, April 11, according to Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young, Apple has abandoned plans for a 27-inch mini-LED display, which was expected to be available in the summer of 2022 but has not yet been released.

Ross Young revealed that Apple shipped some panels for the display last year, but later "temporarily cancelled" the display project for unknown reasons. He did not provide a reason for Apple's decision, and it is not clear whether Apple will relaunch the display in the future or cancel it altogether.

Ross Young has previously said that the display will support ProMotion technology and can achieve refresh rates as high as 120Hz. Given that the display is rumored to be 27 inches, it could be the next version of the Studio Display or a new model somewhere between the Studio Display and the high-end Pro Display XDR. The current Studio Display starts at 11499 yuan and has a 5K resolution, but does not support ProMotion technology. Apple launched the Studio Display with Mac Studio in March 2022, and there has been no hardware update since its launch.

He has accurately revealed that ProMotion technology will appear on the iPhone 13 Pro and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and the sixth-generation iPad mini will have a larger 8.3-inch display, among many other details.
