CTOnews.com, April 13 (Xinhua)-- the way office workers use the mouse and how they tap on the keyboard is a better indicator of current stress than their heart rate, according to a new study. This study can prevent office workers from turning into chronic stress and serious health problems.

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) invited 90 office workers to take the test and divided them into two groups. one group could do normal office work undisturbed in front of the computer, while the other group was often disturbed, leading to work distractions and increased stress.

The survey results show that office workers control the mouse and keyboard differently when they are focused and distracted. Office workers work in a distracted state, the movement of the mouse pointer is no longer accurate, the movement time is longer, and sometimes the trajectory is more erratic, which is in line with the psychological "neuromotor noise" phenomenon. In the distracted state, the number of typing errors of office workers increases significantly, and there will be a short interruption.
