CTOnews.com, April 14, MacPaw recently released the 7th annual Mac developer survey, which collected responses from 701 developers around the world on development habits and challenges, preferred distribution channels and expected industry trends.

CTOnews.com attached the main contents of this survey as follows:

Nearly 1/3 of Mac developers interviewed indicated that they would distribute applications through other channels without Mac App Store.

60% of respondents expressed interest in distributing their applications through third-party app stores to increase user size and additional revenue

39% of respondents said they had used generative AI such as ChatGPT in the development process.

41% of the respondents said they were studying generative AI such as ChatGPT.

44% of respondents have deployed artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI / ML) models in the development process.

28% of the respondents said they were working hard to deploy the AI / ML model

87% of the respondents said they made efforts to improve the accessibility of their applications.

75% of the respondents said they were affected by the recession.
