Microsoft Xbox updates and optimizes Discord to display player codes

CTOnews.com April 14, Microsoft today sent 2305.230410-2200 version updates to Xbox Insider members on Alpha Channel. One of the most notable improvements in this update is that Discord has changed to use gamertags.

Xbox players who install this update will no longer have their Discord account name displayed on Discord, but rather an Xbox gamertag, which helps players identify friends more easily.

The Alpha update also fixes controller bugs, adds language options, and optimizes Xbox Game Pass Questions, which can be found here for more details.

CTOnews.com is accompanied by Microsoft's official introduction to gamertag as follows:

A gamertag is your alter ego in the Xbox world. It consists of aliases, optional avatars or pictures (called gamer pictures), and other information to represent yourself when you play games and share with others in the Xbox community.
