CTOnews.com, April 15 (Xinhua) Continental Group's official Wechat account recently updated an article announcing that it will showcase a global innovation: the driver identification display screen during the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. The display screen, launched in partnership with Continental Group and Genesis trinamiX, can prevent vehicles from being stolen.

CTOnews.com learned from Continental's official Wechat account that the driver identification display screen launched by Continental Group this time integrates a camera solution for driver biometrics. This driver identification display enables highly secure contactless authentication and successfully starts the vehicle only after the driver in the seat has been successfully verified, helping to prevent fraud and theft attempts. It is the world's first on-board display screen with this feature.

It is worth mentioning that the driver identification display can also be used for payment or digital service access in app stores, thereby reducing security accidents caused by distracted payments. At the same time, its built-in camera monitors the driver's attention to prevent dangerous behaviors such as fatigue driving.
