As we all know, because the power consumption of electronic ink screen is very low, the service life of many ink screen devices is in "weeks". Although the charging efficiency of solar energy technology is not high, it seems just right to be used in electronic ink screen equipment.

Exeger said its first prototype was the E Ink tablet, which uses the company's "Powerfoyle" solar charging technology to convert light into electricity.

According to reports, the shell can not only be charged with sunlight, but also supports "all forms of light" charging. It means that the device can be charged all the time as long as it is not placed in the dark. However, there is no official promise to rely solely on solar energy, so it is expected to extend some of the range, which will eventually require the use of other chargers.

Exeger and E Ink will showcase their eNote + solar charging solutions at Touch Taiwan from April 19 to April 21, but CTOnews.com has yet to find out about production plans.
