1/10 of parents buy fitness trackers for their children in order to lose weight.

Parents are mainly concerned about the number of physical movements / steps (81%), heart rate (46%) and sleep (39%) displayed by these devices.

If a child is obese, 38% of parents will consider taking diet pills for them. Parents agree with the American Academy of Pediatrics's recommendation that the minimum age at which they start taking drugs is 12.

16% of parents will consider weight loss surgery for obese children. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends surgery at the age of 13, but most parents don't consider it until their child is 15.

63% of parents believe that the biggest obstacle to urging their children to lose weight is screen time, and it is also difficult for their children to eat healthy food or get a good night's sleep in other ways.
