Accurate monitoring of user activity and health, sources say Samsung is developing a smart ring Galaxy Ring

CTOnews.com, April 18, according to South Korean media MT, Samsung is developing another health tracking device, Galaxy Ring, after Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Fit.

It is reported that the smart ring is equipped with PPG (photoelectric volume pulse wave) sensor and ECG (electrocardiogram) sensor, which can accurately track the wearer's heart activity. Smart rings can better fit the wearer's skin, so more accurate results can be obtained.

Samsung has submitted an application for the "Galaxy Ring" trademark to South Korean regulator KIPRIS, but it is not clear when Samsung will commercialize its products.

CTOnews.com reported last October that Samsung has begun developing a smart ring that users can wear to monitor their activity and health. It is reported that the company is working with a number of companies to develop the components and modules needed for the equipment.
