Earlier on April 7, Tesla cut prices in the United States, with Model 3 and Model Y cutting prices of $1000 and $2000 respectively, and Model S and Model X cutting prices of $5000, an overall drop of between 2% and 6%. At the same time, Tesla officially launched a lower-priced Model Y model in the United States with AWD powertrain starting at $49,990.

In fact, Tesla has been fighting a price war around the world since last year.
