China Mobile had 689 million users of the 5G package in March, and its Q1 revenue of 250.7 billion yuan increased by 10.3% compared with the same period last year.

According to CTOnews.com news on April 20, China Mobile announced its customer data for March 2023 in Hong Kong today. The total number of mobile users reached 983 million, with a net increase of 4.11 million in March and 689 million in 5G packages.

China Mobile's cable broadband service saw a net increase of 3.25 million subscribers in March, bringing the total number of subscribers to 280 million.

China Mobile also released financial figures for the first quarter of 2023, with revenue of 250.7 billion yuan, up 10.3% from a year earlier.

Of this total, the revenue from communications services was 209.8 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year. Profit attributable to shareholders was 28.1 billion yuan, up 9.5% from a year earlier. EBITDA (CTOnews.com note: operating profit + depreciation and amortization) was 79.9 billion yuan, up 4.9% from a year earlier.
